Food Pantry

When?

Thursdays 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Where?

Basic Needs at 313 N Belknap St.

How it Works

If it is your first time visiting, you will be asked to fill out paperwork. The paperwork requires an address within Erath County, the birthdates of all household members, and an average income level. Once completed, return your paperwork, and you will receive a clipboard.

The clipboard will have an “order form” which allows you to select your food choices. There are chairs in the waiting area where you can sit while you make your selections. Once completed, return the clipboard and pen to the front desk, but hold on to your paper. The slip has a number corresponding to your sign in number. Once your number is called, there are other choices you will be able to make as you go through the pantry stations.

After all your groceries are picked out and packed up, you can bring your car around to the loading door.

You can visit the food pantry once a month and it does not need to be the same day you visit the clothing closet.
